These
valves are earthquake-sensitive gas shut-off valves. They are intended
to close in the event of an earthquake to prevent gas flow into a
structure where earthquake damage may have occurred. This will greatly
reduce potential risk of explosion or fire due to loss of gas line
integrity or uncontrolled flow of gas after a major earthquake.
In
event of a damaging earthquake, where gas lines can break, valve
automatically shuts the flow off thus, Protecting your family and
property by greatly reducing the potential risk of explosion or
fire due to loss of gas line integrity or uncontrolled flow of
gas.
- No
magnets used to attract debris and interfere with operation.
- No
internal or external source of electrical power needed.
- Ball
used for actuation NOT! for sealing of flow line.
- Easy
Manual reset!
All
rubber used in unit is the same as used by gas companies as their
regulators.
This technology has been used for many years without repercussions.
